MTV VMA thoughts...

So I was a bit late watching the VMA's because Irene knocked my power out for a few days... But her are some thoughts.
Lady Gaga was crazy as always in her performance but at least there was no stinky meat dress! Her alter ego is definitely intriguing but the song "You and I" is one of my favorites off her album so I was happy!
I was kind of disappointed in Chris Brown's performance. I was really hoping he would perform "Look at Me Now" with Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne, so that was an instant letdown for me. Though the dancing and flying through the air was tight, I'm thinking he may have been lip singing, either way I was disappointed.
Beyonce always rocks it, and I suppose Jay-Z & Kanye were pretty good as well! I loved Lil Wayne, especially the beginning "How to Love". I'm already in love with that song. Britney getting the achievement award was great and all, but I was hoping for a sneak performance! That would have been much better but the little girls dancing out her music videos was definitely cute!
.I am in love with Adele's new album "21" and the first song I instantly adored was "Someone Like You" so I was excited to see her perform it. With Adele, I feel like I don't need all the dancing and crazy outfits. Her just standing there singing that song with all that power was enough.
Last thought, I am definitely unsure of my thoughts on Tyler, The Creator. More to come on that later once I listen to more of his music. The funniest part of him accepting the award for best new artist was his dude taking pictures onstage with a disposable camera... SMH.
Decent show MTV, but seriously stick with having a host. Watching the host make all the lame jokes about the celebs is one of the best parts, especially when the camera flashes on their reaction.
Until the spring when we get to see the MTV Movie Awards...
